Kinsale Gin – 70cl

Created with over 20 botanicals, with key flavours foraged around Kinsale. Kinsale Gin is a London Dry Gin so nothing added after distillation. Botanicals are carefully dried from their natural state before being distilled.

Signature Serve:
One measure of Kinsale Gin, a large glass (1/2 litre or Boston-style is ideal), plenty of ice, 200ml of Indian tonic and a generous slice of pink grapefruit.

Appearance:
Clear.

Aroma:
Juniper forward quickly followed by citrus from bitter orange and lemon peel with a complex spiciness and a freshness from spearmint.

Taste:
Smooth mouthfeel with an immediate burst of flavour. Plenty of straightforward fruitiness from berries, apples and citrus fruits.  Unusual fruity tones coming from lemon verbena and lemon balm amongst others; floral undertones from meadowsweet and elderflower. Followed by earthy spices from roots and seeds.

Finish:
Reassuring warmth of sultry spice flavours from roots and seeds, which give way to a touch of juniper, complemented by a taste of whole dried lime and lemon and vanilla from Madagascar.  Fresh.

Aftertaste:
Lingering tastes of honey and slight citrus flavours.
